I had same thing happen 25 years ago. Also thought I was fine (besides a compound broken finger that needed surgery. The problem with neck/back injuries is they can impact you months or years later and still not look like much if anything in the ER or under MRI. It starts you on a slight but downhill slope, and someday you'll marvel you used to be able to put your socks on without some painful effort.
I'd go in if for nothing else for peace of mind and to start your paper trail with her insurance company.
