yup.
folsom street in San Francisco. my bike was a black honda F4i. sweet sweet bike super smooth tranny.
i was going up the street. a car pulled out of a spot he was parallel parked in. i was in the right most lane, so i dodged left..hoping he simply pulled out into the lane...but NOOOOO, he was pulling out as the first move of his uturn. puck!
he pulled in front of me, and i dodge more left..pulling into oncoming traffic..braking hard as well. i aaaaaaallllllmmooost make it. i graze him..by grazing him, i put my right leg in between his front chrome bumper and car. you car guys know the two bolts that hold on a bumper. well, i sheared them. i see the bumper fly off and boomarang out in front of me. i feel my leg on fire. i pull to a good stop..wheels down..and try to put my leg down..it wouldnt move. i'll use the other leg. nope, like butter toast..i fell butter side down. i was screaming. somebody lifted my bike off of me..and all i see are birkenstock feet. some lady tells me she is a nurse and wants me to pray with her...sure. pray.
i tell her my roommates phone..and within seconds i hear the roar of multiple motorcycle rip up the street.
it was awful. i broke tib'fib. almost pushed them both thru my skin. my SF doc wanted to put me in a cast for 8 months..puck that..i crutched my ass to the airport and flew back to el paso, where a doc rodded my leg. i was up in a month.
i still feel the affects of the accident. my foot is numb in spots..my leg is sore. i paid thousands later to have the rod removed. i just did like it in there.
be careful. i'll eventually get another bike. soon!

i've been triumph tiger shopping!!
