With this gate
I used to be able to open it to get my car through by going to the "inside" and holding up a meter square bit of sheet steel. The gate thought it was a car locked in the forest side and would open. I like to get in to chainsaw up firewood and take the dogs for a walk. I suspect the City Council got told some guy is getting through and they have changed it so it requires something like a remote garage door opener to be pointed at it from both directions now. Does anyone know how these work and a possible workaround?
