It reached a pinnacle of ugliness with the rectangular monstrosity that graced the last of the C4 interiors in the mid-'90s. Why did they think it was a good idea to take something from the Caprice parts bin and put it in the icon? GM for you, I guess.

It's unlikely my Corvette left Texas after I traded it in. I last saw it in a Craigslist ad posted by the dealer that was later removed after the car was sold, but I have not seen it since.
That's just the thing with "mainstream" car manufacturers; parts from their cars are often carried over to other models.
