This was actually my first Porsche, a lightly-modified '85 944. I traded my '87 Toyota Supra Turbo for it back in 2009 after fixing it up from a partial project car state. The PO seemed to be leaning towards a 924 Carrera GT look with an off-center nonfunctional stick-on hood scoop and the word "Carrera" written on the passenger side front fender. The white stripes and additional stick-on hood scoop (the one on the driver's side) were things I added to make the car look more "unique"

My 944 had a lot of mechanical issues during the three years I've owned it, and finally in 2012, sometime before I had to let go of the Corvette I talked about in another thread, I traded the 944 for a Suzuki Katana 600 bike, which is still in my possession, but I don't ride it. A little later that year I bought my second Porsche, an '86 944 Turbo, which I drive daily and also still own.
More photos:
The "custom" and obnoxiously loud exhaust system might make you cry, laugh, or laugh till you cry, but it was installed by the PO

It's a dual outlet exhaust, which is very rarely if not never seen on 944's. This photo was from before I added the stripes.
Notice the larger rear tires:
The somewhat gaudy interior with a tacky Momo steering wheel. The gauges on the A-pillar don't work since they're just there for show, and yes, that's a neon light above the radio

I fixed the center console before getting rid of the car though. The three "fighter pilot" toggle switches next to the armrest operated the neon lights.
And finally, the engine. The valve cover had Lindsey written on it, so it probably had some Lindsey parts in there somewhere.
So what do you think, is my first Porsche the worst 944 you've ever seen?
