Chinese take their massage pretty serious. My close friend goes to China often for business. He says its normal business to have meetings, lunch, meetings, then wrap day with visit to massage shop, baths, foot rubs, the whole 9 yards. Then drinks and dinner.

Many time when my wife and I are in China she would say lets get a massage/foot massage
Even here in NYC while we were married, she would find places for us to have massages together...
I do realize many of the foot spas and "body work" places are just rub and tug joints...And there is some possibility of human trafficking...
Just for giggles here is a note my wife wrote for me so I could get a massage in the spa on the ground floor of the building we had an apartment in ChaoYang, Beijing
I brought this note with me until they knew me...
and BTW no happy endings...Although they were available
