Look171- Funny you mentioned the suspension fork. They successfully ran RockShox at the Paris-Roubaix. It was for 700c, special magnesium / ti bits with nominal travel.

Look at the huge space between the wheel and the seat tube. that dual control is 8 speed. Those controls were what made me leave Campy for Shimano for good. I have no love for any of the new Campy stuff from that point on.
It has to be in the early 90s before the susp. forks. I bet that must be 92 or 93.
I remember the susp. forks (also early to mid 90s). As a very traditional road cyclist, I laughed about it, but it did catch on for a few years. They somehow fitted it with regular side pull brakes. I don't remember if anyone ever win Roubaix with it? Remember Bianchi has a special front and rear suspension bike especially built for Museeuw? I think it was in the early to mid 90s when he was riding for the Italian GB/MG. it cost something like 20k to produce.
