Cannot believe my luck! My cousin is overseeing some construction projects up in Montana and he has invited me up for a fly fishing trip! I will be flying into Missoula and then he will pick me up with his car and we will drive up to Kallispell where his project is going on. He has meetings one morning until about 9 AM and then we are free to fish for the next three days.
I have set up a guided trip on the Blackfoot river for one full day and we are planning to try and fish ourselves without a guide the other two days.
Anyone been up there? Any tips on fishing locations or any specific gear to bring? I'll be taking my 5 weight rod with a standard weight forward floating line.
