Jim, they have plenty of tread because they wear like iron and grip about the same. They only had 8k miles on them. The only thing good about them was they were very predictable.

That is only because your car is so dang light. I have the same tires on my El Camino. It is hard to find tires for it. In fact last year I had to get rid of the 14 inch wheels and move up to 15 inch wheels. My tires don't last 20,000 miles before they are down to the wear bars. I sure don't do burn-outs or slide sideways. They have way more traction than some of the numerous other tires I have had on the Elky in 325,000 miles. The tires wear nice and even, but they wear out fast. The good news is they are cheap.
