I kind of have one. My car is a ROW '79 model, but has the pistons and cylinders from a ROW '82 with 964 cams. The heads were ported and polished and the rotating assembly was balanced and blue printed. When I bought it, it still had the stock ROW '79 exhaust. It ran really, really well, pulled hard to the redline, but had a noticeable step up in power at ~3500 rpm. Since buying the car, I installed a set of SSI's and that REALLY woke the engine up. It pulls like a freight train from right off idle to the redline. But that doesn't help you living in California.
My next step is to install EFI with a Carrera intake. That little bit more free air passing into the heads will make it even faster.
