Exactly. The original color is second-best to the original paint. Everything else is a distant third.
If you're going for "as original" restoration. If you are going for hotrod or tribute or some other modded ride, then going to a different color would be OK.
Browns are hot right now anyway. They might be out of fashion again at some point, but fashion is fickle.
