Browns are VERY German to me! The car in that image looks great to many/most true P-car folks...others will most likely not be fans and think you screwed it up royally.
Paint it whatever color you want but that brown looks really nice and is correct for your car. If you do sell some day, a true enthusiast will see it as a plus and should well be a great steward for the car and your efforts.
