I had to replace the cable in my 1995 C4 Cabriolet one time when the roof was lowered with something on the back deck causing it to go down crooked and it broke the cable. I did it at the time without any assistance or posted tutorials. This makes things a lot easier.
Now I have to fix the roof again because it goes half way down and stops.
I have one question about the large partial gear inside the housing. Which way do you line it up when the roof is in the full upright position? I'm talking about the gear in the lower circle in the attached photo.
