There was one in the news recently where the home owners where curious about the entrance to the shelter for almost 10 years but never investigated until now. It had been flooded out but there was sealed containers with a bunch of stuff from the 60's or maybe even 50's. They donated it all to some museum.

I don't think I could have waited that long to check something out in my yard.

If I moved into a house with a shelter, I would probably check it out within a day or no more than a week of moving into the house.
