Uwe Meissner of Modena Motorsport knew of the location of 917-024 for a very long time and after years was able to buy the car. He resold it including the restoration contract to a Swiss client. The restoration was headed by Modena Motorsport, with significant works outsourced to the Technical University Aachen (frame) as well as bodywork to a southern german F1 bodywork specialist.
There are serious flaws/omissions in the press release regarding the extent of the restoration! Will be interesting!!!
