This is not sarcastic, but I think it's great to be able to put your garbage in a box at the end of your driveway and have someone else haul it off. Similarly, to take a poo and flush it to wherever with no fuss, no muss and go about your merry way.
So to me, our modern utilities (water, sewer, power, trash) and right after that, our transportation network. We live in remarkable times.
