My father did something similar when I was in my teens, probably 87/88 ish. This was long before cell phone cameras and people knowing, understanding and exercising their rights.
It did not go so well for poor old Dad. He ended up needing a lawyer to keep his license, and still had to pay a small fortune in fines. They threw the book at him. Towed his truck etc. I still applaud him for standing up for himself .
I think the souper trooper passed my dad , and then cut him off, no lights or sirens.
I guess he chased the copper down,, got in front of him and made him pull over. He is lucky they did not shoot him
