I was a GMCS when I retired. Qualified as Conning officer on Vincennes and also as CSC in Combat Information Center. I few of my guys qualed on Mk86 operation ans actually can say they SHOT the gun.
Yep DFM for Fuel on all gas turbine ships. Jets pushing ships can run on just about anything. JP-4, JP-5 No.2 diesel, DFM. Helicopters only got JP-5 well because falling in the drink was not a good day.
Yea I caught the SPG-62 movement preceding coms message. I LOLed.
Also I am not sure Scott air pac would be the best choice for a shore detail. Better with CBR suit and gas mask. Hmm have to think about that one.
