I've had the luxury of driving a not all that impressive mkIV Supra ('95 NA with a single turbo kit, was just under 400whp at horsepower freaks). Wasn't my car, so I didn't exactly flog it, but got enough to know it was a beast. That long hood look isn't just a look - it's a massive car.
Yes, a Supra TT would draw more looks at a parking lot than a 996 TT. But so would Betty White nude and on fire - doesn't mean I'd rather have that.
And while I have been in the P-Car community my whole life, I'm not exactly a fanboi. I would take a Exige over a Cayman S all day long. And a S2000 over a comparably priced Boxter. Even - wait for it - a Corvette over a base Carrera.
