and yet, TSA just announced they are raising the security fee's for flights starting July 21. Not to mention the dozen's of TSA agents who are standing around when "there isn't enough staffing to open the pre-check line"

Not every airport has TSA pre-check. And even those that do sometimes close the pre-check line when they do not have 'adequate staffing' to cover the extra line.
