I dunno why everyone's getting their panties in a bunch. I consider this "bench racing" and part of the fun of being a car guy. Heck, if we were all in a bar drinking brews talking about cars, this is the type of conversation we will be having. But I wouldn't expect the participants getting so worked up to start insulting each other. wtf?
I for one appreciate that the auto makers are trying to target cars for a certain market. It might not be my cup of tea, but there's someone out there lusting over this car in a serious way. Hopefully, they will be fortunate enough to purchase the car and be happy. And in my mind, there's nothing wrong with that and probably a good way to enjoy life.
I think it's great we all like different things. Else, a mfg'er would make that one perfect car, and then we'd all get it, and then what?
Isn't that what Top Gear is based on? And we all love Top Gear, BBC. It'd be a different show if there was a cage match or duels w/ sabers to settle a matter of opinion.
