Porsche Crest Weissach dash

Hi all, I am new & the proud new pappy of a black Weissach. The car is great mechanically with all upgrades except a pop off valve. It has 105k and runs sweet. This is a great forum, I will no longer pester John Walker with unneccasary phone calls. I do appreciate his patience & professionalism. My problems lie in my interior & specifically my dash. I recently spoke with a guy at a company called Bascom in CA that does alot of Porsche interiors. He said they rarely do leather restores on dashboards anymore because of durability. He told me that if I sent him my new black viny OEM dash along with a sample he could dye it to match perfect. I plan to restore the car but don't have the $2000 it would take to do it proper right now. Has anyone dealt with this company? I've only found one thread on dyeing vinyl & it wasn't good. I can't stand looking at the bubbles in my dash, that's why I ordered the OEM dash. My interior color is tan, all Porsche has available is "Cork", is this the same color? The black or painted dash will be temp., but I don't want it to look cheesy. This car is a passion not an investment. It may not be as fast as my wifes car ( 2003 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE), but it's a hell of a lot more fun to drive.
