So now you have possession without having paid the repair bill? If this is true, that's one either foxy or really dumb mechanic.
The repair bill exceeds the value of the car, just about. Even if they have your CC number, I'd be screaming bloody murder.

The PPI showed a strange noise from the motor. I intended to take the motor out and perform a swap.
The service was done on another shop, were they said it would be worth to fix and maintain the original motor.
The car is still on the shop.
