Rebuilt BMW R100S Value--Once Wrecked

Now that the 930 is gone I'm returning to 2 wheel interests again--started with a 2001 Triumph Bonneville which is a great bike but my goal has been an early R100S from the beginning. Several friends attended the AMA vintage at Mid-Ohio over the weekend and stumbled into one I want but have some concerns about in regard to value. This bike started life as a 1977 RT, was damaged then purchased by what appears to be a very reputable shop south of Columbus and completely,(donor frame with clean title), rebuilt into a rather stunning 100S. The documented list of work starts with the engine and ends with all new cosmetics--it really wowed the knowledgeable Beemer guys at the show with the thoroughness of the work.

It appears the bike is perfect save the path it took to get there--my concern is the pricing which is bordering on 9k. I have read previous threads on Pelican that some very astute BMW owners have responded to and am interested in the opinions of those that know more than I do.

Thanks,
TG
