Thanks all! Seems as if the OS must have become corrupted with recent updates. Problem wasn't isolated to IE, and a system restore from a week or so ago failed, so I restored to the "factory image" and all is well now. That's no biggie for me...it's an older HP netbook that I keep "lean & mean" and restore to factory settings on occasion anyways. Yeah, I realize Windoze and IE suck...it's like picking up a #2 pencil though...I don't care as long as it writes...this morning was the first time it wouldn't do that properly
