Working AC
Just got mine working this weekend, well sort of. It did not work when I bought the car 6 months ago. There was very little pressure in the system but the AC clutch engaged so I was hopeful. We evacuated the system, refilled with R12 and tested. At first we had 62 degree vent temps sitting in the garage idling. However, the fresh air flaps would only close half way and the water valve did not fully close. So now I am looking at a possible vacuum issue. We put masking tape over the fresh air vents to stop the hot air infiltration. I had 43 degree vent temps on my ride home. VERY nice.
It's an automatic car for my daughter. AC is more important the a few extra ponies.
