I like in that it was sort of retro punk (simple rock).
Mind you I can get into the technical stuff... I am/was a huge Yes fan, and did the whole Joe Satriani thing plus old school Alvin lee and Eric Clapton etc. (Toss in Joe Pass and Andres Segovia for good measure).

For me this type of music is more about being minimalist.

More is not always better, especially in art and music.
