I can't imagine oil consumption like that! I put 90K miles on my '06 Mazda5, my current 5, a 2009, has 84K. My wife's 2006 Mazda3 had 130K on it when we traded it in. None of these cars EVER had to have a drop of oil added between changes. All of these cars ran 5000-7500 miles between changes, mostly using Motorcraft synthetic blend. I was just thinking the other day that I am completely out of the habit of checking the oil in my cars because they've never shown below full on the dip stick when it's time for the next oil change. Sure hope this doesn't come back to bite me some day!
