I've been through this with a family menber.

Michael is gone. All that is left is a shell.
He is and will always be in a semi-vegitative state and blinking his eyes will most likely be the extent of his ability to interact.
It won't get better, he won't wake up one morning and be normal. He is gone forever.


I don't like it either but lets stop pretending. I was a huge fan of the man and have mourned our loss and shed my anger over the tragedy.
It's time we admit the truth and move on.
