Yes, of course. It is. I wasn't trying to change your opinion or indicate that you were wrong. Perhaps I was put off by your fan assertion? But even then, who cares?! I like the music, not the fan base.

IMO there is nothing to 'rediscover' with pearl jam. sucked then and sucks now. I've gone from thinking motley crue was the greatest ever to thinking Eric Burdon is one of the great musical geniuses of our time along with Chris Cornell to discovering daft punk after watching tron. I listen to a huge variety of music (country being an exception) and love Nirvana and Soundgarden from that era but Pearl Jam was, again imo which was solicited in this thread, and remains a horrible example of the era.
Point taken. I can't even begin to describe all the music I dabble in. Probably the worst question a person can ask me is "what kinda music are you into?" I must look like a deer in headlights. It runs such a strange spectrum from Punk to Reggae to "Classic Rock" to "Indie" to some strange "AM Gold" guilty pleasures. I will admit that I can't listen to a Pearl Jam album/CD from beginning to end, without skipping to the tracks I like...much of it I don't care for or get.
