To a degree... But to play devils advocate...
A car that now has a clean title can be easily insured, and should be worth more than one that is currently branded. Its also more salable, as car dealers WILL buy a car based on its current title, and they won't buy one thats listed as a current salvage.
I am not saying its worth the same as an unbranded car, but its clearly worth more than one with a currently branded title.
Ask yourself this. You have 2 cars in front of you, both identical. Both with an accident history. Both Salvaged 10 years ago. One has a clean insurable title, one doesn't. Assuming you were going to buy one, which would you buy?
If you don't believe me call your insurance agent. All that matters is the current title for their purposes. Its worth less, but its insurable.
