All of it is pretty easy stuff. Hard start cap is really easy. Two wires. Yeah, I did discharge the run start cap with a screwdriver.
I could tell by looking at my contactor that it was in bad shape. Lots of soot on the contacts.
Pretty sure I just watched Youtube videos on all of the above before diving in.
