While you're at the Subaru dealership, drive the Crosstrek also just for kicks. I just bought one a few months ago for my dd. It doesn't check the 'luxury' box but i really like mine so far. Great mileage, well built, relatively simple compared to most other vehicles on the road (check out the oil filter location

...), and the coolest wheels out there

. And it does check the 'being a little different' box - you don't see alot of them on the road.
