This is my first post on this form. I have not been much of a form user so go easy on me.
My 1997 Boxster was purchased with led tail lights manufactured by LH Group. Since, I have had a failure of a part (see pics). The light is 80-1224C and the part is tagged 1224SY2 right.
On the working side (LH) the part outputs 12 volts. on the non-working side its measures 4v sometimes and other times nothing. I have been told its a resistor but shouldn't I be measuring a voltage drop on the working side? My first real question is - What is this part?
The second question is where do I get a new one? Here is where the story gets weird. When I contact the company they will NOT tell me what the part is saying that I need to speak with a distributor of the tail light. When I ask for a distributor the claim they do not know where the lights go
! Does anyone know where i can buy these lights and maybe replacement parts?
