Well, it might have not been a purist first choice...but the only mods he did on the car were the bumpers and the back window...which was not such a big deal. Different wheels...and custom paint...that's not destroying...
The custom interior was very nice and a classy choice keeping it stock.
So you really should consider him saving another 356. and judging by the amount of rust and bondo on the car...he did save it..
And there were no chevy or mopar parts on the car...you had to notice they were Porsche parts..
