sounds like you need a new agent. i have had a state farm collector (or classic, i forget the name) policy on my 83 targa since i bought it 5 years ago. roughly $500 a year, $30,000 agreed value but there are two caveats - 5k miles a year or less (no problem), must have a dd insured as well (no problem again). took it to my agent for photos originally, then as i add/improve items i give him a list and new photos.
