I just don't get it. Washington State Landlord/Tenant law is very clear. Black and white. Any professional property manager knows that when a home is vacated, the deposit must be returned within 14 days. Simply return the deposit, or give an accounting of any funds withheld within 14 days, and everybody carries on merrily, instead of facing off in court.

Yep. You're right. Funny thing is, that even
their attorney who is apparently well known by the Tenants Association, tried to argue with mine about the law, stating we were wrong.
Tenants Association told me they were known for representing craplords.
