I used to drink rye and coke which goes well together like rum and coke. The different brands of rye seem to all taste the same unlike scotch which if mixed with water have their own distinct tastes. Rye and coke(or ginger ale) I think make great pre dinner drinks.

I have gotten away from hard liquor and stick to beer(if weather is really hot) or red wine.
