I have no experience with 911 brakes on a 914, but the BMW calipers on the front of a 914 are a lot more likely to lock up under panic braking. Unless you can remember to pump the brake pedal in a panic, and are very good at it, chances are you will end up with flat spotted front tires in a hurry. I am going back to the stock 914 calipers first chance I get.
