Quick searches show the new OEM Bosch coil is garbage, and $20 more than MSD.

I, too, replaced my OEM Bosch with another OEM from here on Pelican as preventative maintenance. The odds are strong that the MSD will do just fine (at a $30 or 37% discount), but the nominal actual dollar difference made me stick with what I knew would work (OEM) since I didn't have data from previous users.
I'm all for non-OEM products that perform as well/better than OEM at a price savings, just didn't want to be the first one to try it.
