Thumbs down The end is near now- tranny found

So I got the call. I need thoughts on this, it is quite a serious mater for me.

First: Oil leaks- Oil pan gasket, air/oil separator : $1245
Second: Oil leaks- lower balance shaft seal

Third (Oh God): trans noise. Turns out to be pinion bearings, bearing gaskets, syncros, etc= rebuild. $500 parts, $1500 labor. Was offered another option: $3500 complete turbo trans. with close ratio gears for 3, 4, and 5. I can't remember the brand, but they are supposed to be really quality. The labor for a swap would be minimal he said. Something else just came to mind: I don't have LSD now. Would the new one have it, or is it separate altogther?

I am not mechanically inclined enough (nor do I posess the tools or facilities) to perform any of this work myself. I am also not even close to rich. A bad combo.

Please, please offer me some advice, I want to do the right thing. Just to note, I didn't break the trans, it was the original and had ~145000 miles on it.

I have pretty much decided to pay for the oil leak problems, but the tranny has me confused.
