there is no real need to remove the wiper posts them selfs from the car if your not going to go that deep into the refinishing of the car . that would be doing paint work in the area of were the wiper motor assy. is it's self .

the head lamp buckets are welded onto the fenders . I'm thinking your talking about the head lamp body / housing that bolts into the bucket . yes remove it if your not just going to mask off were the trim ring seals on the fenders .
I'm sure there will be a little rust in the bucket you may want to remove if your painting the thing any ways .


I see you have a 328 gtb one of my cars is a white 1988 328GTS they are just fun cars to drive .
I got mine hit in the front when the owners step son took the car with out asking . he did not have the car registered or insured at the time the 17 year old kid took it when the last owner and his new wife of 7 months went to NH for the weekend and left the kid at home .
I use it for track days most of the time but I did drive it to the shop today as the weather was nice .
