Some people are so funny.
Was participating in a discussion on Rennlist with a guy that races a 928. He is a pretty good driver, but middle of the pack. He is trying to improve is brakes and braking and was asking about bias valves. I've gone thru improving braking on my 944 Turbo, and both 928s and that included not only bias valves, but also suspension settings, damper settings, and driver technique.
Me being my helpful self related my experiences and what was fastest. This guy tells me I don't know what I am talking about, don't know anything about the physics of a race car, and am not a very fast driver.
What makes it so funny is that in a month so after he has gone to a couple of event made some tests and adjustments he will come back touting he discovered what worked. Amazingly enough it was exactly what I had told him I learned from my experiences.
He currently thinks with his smooth braking technique he can out-brake threshold braking before ABS kicks in, than a properly set up car of the same model properly braking and using full ABS. And that ABS is only there as a safety net.
