Thats a pretty expensive piece of disposable safety gear. I agree with some of the comments on /. If this could be turned into an inexpensive install kit they could get more traction. But being a specialty piece of equipment may price them out of most riders' budgets. $300 is the most I could spend on a helmet - most other riders wont spend half that.
$1400 is a real stretch.
