I disagree, and I don't fit any of the Harley stereotypes either
. My Carrera is LOUD....I've had a deer swerve away from me 'cause he "heard" it first. My '87 Sportster (straight pipes) is LOUDER...though I rarely ride anymore because of the inattentive idiots on cell phones, etc. Question for you guys....How many times have you "heard" a bike come up on ya before you actually see it? Happens to me a lot....
I WANT EVERY ADVANTAGE I can when I'm riding...still don't feel safe anymore....YMMV.
ps: I "hear" WAY more sport bikes "screamin'" than I do HDs....doesn't bother me in the least....I ain't THAT OLD (yet)
