I have to agree with this somewhat. Anytime I drive my 71 targa or my 90c2 and I come across another early 911, I'll wave and it will be returned. I gave up extending the greeting to drivers of newer 911s (993, 996, 997, 991). Unfortunately, most that I have encountered here in the Baltimore/DC area just give me a nasty look like I'm crazy. As to non-911s, well, you might as well forget it. I don't think they understand the meaning of being a true Porsche fan, IMHO.
