The 1968 911S Targa had the lowest production volume of any 1967-73 911 variant with only 442 units built. Per the COA, this example was delivered on May 22, 1968 in highly attractive Signal Yellow and was highly optioned with tinted/heated rear window, tinted glass all around, rear wiper, Porsche side lettering, Recaro sport seat, rare 100 liter tank, antenna, very rare limited slip differential and stainless steel muffler skirt.
Driven only 16k miles since it's documented restoration in 1992. Upgraded since then with optical ignition, 930 oil cooler, Bilstein shocks/struts, new bushings, 930 tie rods, sport clutch, short shift kit, SSI heat exchangers and B&B exhaust. Pedal cluster and Weber carbs rebuilt in 2007. Estimated 2k miles on fully rebuilt 2.7S engine installed in 2010. Location of original 2.0S engine may be possible. Documented with original owners manual, Certificate of Authenticity and restoration and service records.
