Reading about Futons and the fact that they can be used for other things....like a sofa....made me think about having "Things"

When I moved up to Las Vegas, the moving company estimated that I had about 17000 pounds of stuff to move plus my cars and the things I would move myself...So all told, I probably have close to 30,000 pounds of poessions... 15 tons of stuff....So in the scheme of things I must be rich....

When I was packing my stuff to move, I kept out only a couple of pots and pans to cook with, I soon realized the double duty most of those items could perform and that I really don't need that All Clad Sauciers pan that cost me $85.00...

I guess the point I am getting at is that having things can be a burden....and that I can get along with a lot less stuff than I have. I kinda feel that this is the high water mark of my owning poessions...that over the next few years I will pair down the things I own. The only thing that I havn't fully worked out in my mind is the fact that there are certain things we enjoy doing, or having in life...and since I like to cook maybe having that Sauciers Pan which is like having a tool... is worth having for the enjoyment of being able to use it on occasion.

PS: I think the thing I want now are those slips of paper I get at the end of the month....with those numbers followed by a lot of zeros and a decimal place...and to see them increase GREATLY every month. Those only weigh the weigh of a piece of paper, which U can stick in your pocket.
