Coin sellers are pretty good if they also buy and trade. If you want new uncirculated/never sold stuff there is a markup like anything else but if you buy previously owned/traded coins or bullion, sometimes they'll let it go Cheeper. Maybe even spot.
I buy gold every day in my jewelry store. I have regulars that buy it from me for spot and I'm happy to sell it to them as I buy for less than that. Banks don't often deal with metal. They're not based on it anymore. Pm me for more details if needed.
