The kid across the street from me is one of those "stuntas." He recently bought an R1 (
not his first bike) and his first mod was to bolt on a cage. I'm sure he's not the only one to do that with brand new stuff, though it's probably more common to spend $4-6K to buy a used late-model Japanese sportbike and learn on/crash that.
